I put an offer in on a three-season angler’s cabin at 27, thinking it would make for a great Airbnb. Somehow, I blinked, and now I live here full-time—with 10 garden beds I “yakisugied” last year, ironically the exact kind of slow living I needed, and a mission to figure out how to be present and thrive in a world that is so immersed in the digital.(Again, how ironic as I sit here writing this on my iMac.)

I bake. I cook. I garden. I film. I write. I create. And through it all, I research. A lot of research. But somehow can't follow recipe instructions (trying to improve there lol). And sometimes, I daydream and let my brain take all the information cyberspace has mushed into it, let it compute, sink in, make sense of it—until new connections form.
This newsletter is my attempt to bring it all together in a slooow way—the personal stories, the science-backed insights, the weird things I’ve learned along the way about food, health, and gardening.
